William Wynne's Covair Colleges are free events where people interested in flying Corvair engines come and learn more about the rebuilding, assembly and flying of Corvairs. While a technical event, the learning goes on in an atmosphere of friendly camaraderie.

EAA is offering weekend assembly workshops for those interested in acquiring the skills necessary to assemble the popular RV kit aircraft.
Based on a similar format used in all workshops, the RV course will include such topics as; the FAR's pertaining to amateur-built aircraft, tools required, workshop requirements, insurance, engine and propeller selection, flight testing, etc.
The main portion of the workshop will be "hands-on" experiencing the techniques necessary to assemble the airplane.
Saturday morning we will begin with a discussion on basic sheet metal construction. After a classroom presentation, you will then spend time practicing the skills required to work with sheet metal. A practice project will be completed to allow you time to develop your skills.
Saturday afternoon you will start the main sheet metal project-a small airfoil section patterned after the RV wing. Assembly of this airfoil will include the majority of skills necessary to build the aircraft.
Visit five airports with a barbeque meal provided at the last airport. This safety event uses flight planning proficiency & navigational skills to complete the route. Poker card will be distributed at each airport with winning hands receiving prizes.

Showcasing planes that can be flown single-pilot. That's the rationale for NBAA's new, three-day industry event, the Light Business Airplane Exhibition and Conference (LBA2009). The show will serve as the industry's premiere event dedicated to companies that use light airplanes to make their business models successful. Specifically, LBA2009 will focus on operators of light jets, turboprops and piston airplanes.
NBAA's inaugural Light Business Airplane Exhibition & Conference will take place on Thursday through Saturday, March 12,13,14,2009. in San Diego, CA. The award-winning San Diego Convention Center, located right on the majestic San Diego Harbor, will be the location of the exhibit hall, where all manner of companies involved in nearly every aspect of light airplane business aviation will display their wares.
